A CamelCamelCamel Alternative for Any Store
CamelCamelCamel is one of the best-known price trackers, and if you only shop on Amazon, it does the job for free. But that's also its limit: it only works on Amazon. The moment you want to track a price at Walmart, Etsy, a Shopify store, or some niche brand's own site, CamelCamelCamel can't help.
To track prices anywhere, you need a tracker that can read any product page. SmartTracker is one: a native iPhone, iPad, and Mac app that watches any website, keeps your list on your own devices with no account, and costs a one-time $19.99 rather than a subscription.
This page is an honest look at what to use instead of CamelCamelCamel, including where SmartTracker fits and where other tools might suit you better. New to this? Start with our guide to tracking prices on any website. (SmartTracker is our own app, so weigh that as you read.)
Stop checking product pages
SmartTracker watches them for you, on iPhone, iPad, and Mac, and pings you the moment a price moves.
Why look for a CamelCamelCamel alternative?
Two limits push people to look elsewhere:
- Amazon only. CamelCamelCamel tracks Amazon and nothing else. Same for Keepa. If your cart spans several stores, a single Amazon tracker leaves most of it uncovered.
- No native app. CamelCamelCamel is a website and a browser extension. There's no first-party iPhone or Mac app, so tracking and alerts live in a browser rather than in a native notification on your phone.
None of that makes CamelCamelCamel bad. It's genuinely useful for Amazon. It's just the wrong tool the second you step off Amazon.

What to look for in a price tracker
Before the comparison, here are the five things that actually differ between these tools. Worth deciding which you care about:
- Store coverage: Amazon-only, or any website?
- Native app vs web service: a real iPhone/Mac app with native notifications, or a website/extension you keep open?
- Account & privacy: does it need a login and collect your data, or does your list stay on your devices?
- Pricing: free, a monthly subscription, or a one-time purchase?
- What it can watch: just price, or also stock, a rating, a follower count, or any text on a page?
SmartTracker: track any store, natively
SmartTracker is built around one idea: watch any product page, on your own Apple devices, without handing your shopping list to a web service.
- Any website. Paste a URL, then click the price on the page. SmartTracker works out how to read it, even on modern React, Vue, or Svelte stores. On iPhone you can tap any text to start tracking it.
- More than price. It can track any number or text on a page (a percentage-off, a rating, a stock count) and watch elements appear or disappear, so an "Out of stock" label turning into "Add to cart" fires an alert.
- Native on iPhone, iPad, and Mac. Built with Apple's own tools rather than a website wrapped in an app icon. On Mac, a small background helper keeps prices fresh even when the app is closed, and iCloud syncs your items across devices.
- No account, private by default. No sign-up, no email. Your watched items stay on your devices. They aren't sent to us.
- Pay once. Start free with up to 5 tracked items (manual refresh, history charts, iCloud sync). A one-time $19.99 (or a yearly option) unlocks unlimited items and automatic background refresh, so a price drop reaches you without opening the app.
SmartTracker doesn't promise the lowest price or a guaranteed deal. No honest tracker can. It watches the pages you choose and tells you when something moves.

How SmartTracker compares to Keepa, CamelCamelCamel, and other trackers
There are three kinds of "CamelCamelCamel alternative," and which is right depends on what you shop.
| Tool | Store coverage | Platform | Account | Pricing (Aug 2026) | What it watches |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| SmartTracker | Any website | iPhone · iPad · Mac (native) | None (local) | Free (5 items) · $19.99 once · optional yearly | Price, %, number, text, stock |
| CamelCamelCamelsource | Amazon only | Web + extension | Optional | Free | Amazon price |
| Keepasource | Amazon only | Web + extension | Optional | Price tracking free; €29/mo or €290/yr Pro tier for sellers | Amazon price |
| AnyTrackersource | Any website | iPhone | Yes (collects analytics/IDs) | Free (1 item) · $2.99–$6.99/mo | Price, text, stocks, more |
| Repricesource | 1,000+ stores | iPhone · iPad only | Yes (email) | Free (8 Amazon items, 0 elsewhere) · from $1.49/mo or $9.99/yr | Price |
| Visualpingsource | Any website | Web service | Yes | Free (5 pages, 150 checks/mo) + paid tiers priced by licence size | Any page change |
Competitor details link to each tool's own page. Prices re-verified in August 2026: Keepa and Visualping from their own pricing pages, AnyTracker's and Reprice's subscription tiers from their App Store in-app purchase listings. Their free-tier limits were read inside each app in August 2026 — they sit behind the paywall, so there is no public page to link. Prices and features change and vary by region, so check before you decide.
If you only track Amazon: Keepa or CamelCamelCamel
For Amazon-only tracking, both are solid and free: Keepa's browser extension tracks products at no cost, and its paid Pro tier (€29/month, or €290/year, as of August 2026) is aimed at Amazon sellers who need sales-rank analytics, not everyday shoppers. If Amazon is all you watch, you may not need anything else.
If you want any store, natively: AnyTracker, Reprice, or SmartTracker
This is the real comparison, because these three all track beyond Amazon on Apple devices:
- AnyTracker is the closest. It tracks any site, but it is an iPhone app: on iPad and Mac it runs as the iPhone app rather than a native one, and its free tier covers a single item. The trade-offs: it's subscription-only, with tiers running $2.99–$6.99/month, yearly options, and no one-time purchase (as of August 2026). It also collects analytics and user identifiers.
- Reprice covers 1,000+ stores on its paid tiers, but its free plan tracks 8 Amazon products and none anywhere else (as of August 2026), so the any-store part is the part you pay for. It is also iPhone/iPad only (no Mac), subscription-based, and requires an email account; Apple's privacy label notes it uses identifiers to track across apps.
- SmartTracker is the one that's any-site and native on Mac too, and account-free/local, and a one-time purchase. If "pay once, no login, works on my Mac" matters, that's the gap it fills.
If you're fine with a web service: Visualping or BotBro
Tools like Visualping and BotBro monitor any page from the web (or a desktop app) and flag any change on it, not just a price. That is what general website-change monitoring takes. They're subscriptions (Visualping's free tier covers 5 pages and 150 checks a month; paid plans are priced by licence size, so what you pay scales with the pages and checks you need; see their pricing page for current figures) and run as web services with an account, rather than a private native app.
Stop checking product pages
SmartTracker watches them for you, on iPhone, iPad, and Mac, and pings you the moment a price moves.
